"Music is enough for a lifetime, but
a lifetime isn't enough for music."
Sergei Rachmaninoff
MSO EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS

A Lifetime of Learning
Take advantage of a rich variety of programs that will help you explore and deepen your appreciation for classical music. The more you know, the better it gets!

Prelude Discussion Series
Our Prelude Discussion Series takes you to the heart of the music just one hour before each concert. Step into Overture Hall to learn from our distinguished speakers as they explore the life and times of the composers, the artistry of the guest soloists, and the meaning behind the music. Speakers include John DeMain, composers, guest conductors, and UW professors, among others. Learn more at left.

Magic of Music Luncheons
Liven up the learning process with lunch! The Magic of Music Luncheons expand on the Prelude Discussion Series by taking you more deeply into the works and artists of a particular performance. Presented four times per concert season, they're a great way to deepen your understanding as you broaden your horizons. Learn more at left.

Orchestra Insider: Behind the Scenes with the MSO
Each year, the MSO presents a mini-course in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Continuing Education Department. You'll learn about what it takes to create the high-quality performances you've come to expect from the MSO. Learn more at left.
