MSO IN THE COMMUNITY

Heartstrings Open Dress Rehearsals
Heartstrings reaches beyond traditional performance settings to bring live, interactive presentations by some of the MSO’s best players into healthcare facilities. A large part of the MSO mission is reaching people who are unable to attend regular concerts and offering free opportunities for students to learn. For this reason, we allow the public to come into dress rehearsals free of charge.
Prelude Discussions Meet the Musician
Step into Overture Hall an hour before each concert to find out more about the composers and their music and gain insights into the lives of our world-famous guest artists. The MSO’s free educational events at the Madison Children’s Museum offers pre-school aged children the first glimpse of musical instruments and time to interact with the MSO musicians who play them!
