YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITIONS

Fall Youth Concerto Competition Bolz Young Artist Competition Final Forte
Students in grades 3-8 are eligible to compete in the Fall Youth Concerto Competition. The winners have the opportunity to play with the MSO and for their peers during the Fall Youth Concerts. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to compete in the Bolz Young Artist Competition. The third and final round of this competition is a live broadcast, “Wisconsin Young Artists Compete: The Final Forte.” High school students from across the state compete, and the four finalists appear with John DeMain and the MSO in a free concert in Overture Hall before a live audience. Wisconsin Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Television broadcast “Wisconsin Young Artists Compete: The Final Forte” throughout the state, and the winners perform for their peers at the Spring Young People’s Concert.
