MSO violist and docent Katrin Talbot prepares
elementary school students for the
Fall Youth Concerts.
YOUTH DOCENT PROGRAM

Making Sense of the Music
One of the reasons the Fall Youth Concerts are such an effective and enriching learning experience for elementary school students is that they're prepared to make sense of and enjoy the music they'll hear.

Docents Come to the Students
Each year, the Madison Symphony Orchestra League sponsors volunteers who go into the schools to help prepare students for the Fall Youth Concerts. These sessions give children a chance to hear the music, to understand more about it, and to respond to it.

Volunteer!
Elementary school music teachers count on visits from MSO docents to help their students develop a deeper relationship with music in preparation for the Fall Youth Concerts. We are always in need of more volunteers for this fun and inspirational program. We provide the training to make sure that the experience effective and entertaining for everyone!
