INTERNSHIPS (UNPAID)
We are currently accepting applications for unpaid internships in our Education and Community Engagement and Marketing Departments.
ORCHESTRA AUDITIONS
The MSO is a fully orchestrated, part time professional ensemble comprised of 91 contracted, per-service musicians, offering approximately 80 services per season.

The Madison Symphony announces the following auditions for the 2016-17 season:

PRINCIPAL CLARINET
TUE/WED MAY 31/JUNE 1, 2016 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

String Excerpt lists will be available by June 15.

SECTION VIOLIN
TUES SEPT 6 - PRELIMINARY ROUND
WED SEPT 7 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS


Three Regular positions are available with one in the first violins and two in the second violins. One one-year position, possibly permanent, is available in the first violins.

SECTION VIOLA
THURS SEPT 8 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

One Regular position is available.

PRINCIPAL AND SECTION BASS
FRI SEPT 9 - PRELIMINARY AND FINAL ROUNDS

One Regular Principal and One Regular section position is available.

SUBSTITUTE CELLO
SAT SEPT 10
SUBSTITUTE BASSOON
SAT SEPT 10

If a current member of the MSO wins a new position, these auditions may be used to fill the resulting opening.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
