FROM THE VERY FIRST NOTE!
Join us as we fête the MSO’s new Concertmaster, Naha Greenholtz. You’ll not only have a first chance to meet her, buy you'll hear her first performance as she plays the beautiful Meditation from Thais by Jules Massenet and Fritz Kreisler's delightful Praeludium and Allegro.

BENEFIT OUR EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor's Club (the official hotel of the MSO) is once again sponsoring this event, so all proceeds directly benefit our renowned Education and Community Engagement Programs. Award-winning Executive Chef Charles Lazzareschi is planning an elegant, multi-course dinner with wine pairings for our dining pleasure (the menu will be a surprise!) Please join us as we come together to celebrate and support our Symphony!

AN EVENING OF EXCITEMENT
We'll meet Ms. Greenholtz during the cocktail hour as we listen to light jazz and enjoy wonderful hors d'voeuvres prepared by Lazzareschi, who was recently voted Best Local Chef by the readers of Madison Magazine. Dinner will follow with an exclusive performance by Ms. Greenholtz. WPR Host Anders Yocom will be our emcee for the evening and for the live auction that follows.

MEET NAHA GREENHOLTZ
Japanese-Canadian violinist Naha Greenholtz made her solo debut at 14 playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and was quickly reengaged for performances of concerti by Tchaikovsky and Mozart. In addition, she has been a featured soloist with the Burnaby Symphony and the Kelowna Symphony Orchestra in works by Sarasate, Bruch, and Bach. Naha has also had an active career as an orchestral musician, appointed Associate Concertmaster of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans at age 21. One year later, she joined the first violin section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Most recently she has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra both at Severance Hall and on tour in Tokyo and Seoul. She has also performed as guest Concertmaster of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. Naha received her BM from Juilliard in 2007, where she studied with Joel Smirnoff and Donald Weilerstein. Currently, she is the sole participant in the prestigious Concertmaster Academy at the Cleveland Institute of Music, a mentoring fellowship with William Preucil.

Chef Charles Lazzareschi inherited an interest in cooking early by spending time at his father’s Italian restaurant in San Francisco. He has worked in hotels for the past thirteen years, and prior to moving to Madison in 2006 was the executive chef for five years at the Embassy Suites in Denver, Colorado. He studied at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Charles was named the 2008 Culinary Conqueror of the Food & Wine Show Dueling Chefs Competition and Voted Best Local Chef by Madison Magazine’s Reader Poll in 2009.
