The MSO is proud to bring world-renowned musicians and conductors into local schools. An encounter
with a musical hero can be a turning point in the life of a young musician. These emerging young artists have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from a master. Guest artists who have taken part have included cellist Lynn Harrell, violinists Hilary Hahn and Jennifer Frautschi, soprano Dawn Upshaw, bassist Edgar Meyer and conductors Carl St. Clair and Arild Remmereit. During the 2008-2009 Season, violinist Sarah Chang will be presenting a Master Class at UW Madison.
