Parties of Note

The MSOL’s Parties of Note is a series of themed parties to benefit the Madison Symphony Orchestra.  Online registration will open March 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. for MSOL members and March 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. for non-members.    The Passport to Parties was mailed in February.   Reach out to Teressa Smith, Registrar, with questions at msolevents @ madisonsymphony.org.

MSOL Connect & Musicology Moments

The MSOL is excited to introduce “Musicology Moments”, the next generation of MSOL Connect events. Musicologist Steve Kurr is creating a series of short videos that explore interesting aspects of upcoming MSO performances. MSOL Winter Luncheon

MSOL members and guests are invited to attend the Winter Luncheon on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at The Madison Club. Enjoy lunch and a presentation by Robert Reed, MSO Executive Director. The cost to attend is $40 per person. Guests are welcome. Registration is now closed. Contact Valarie Kazamias to join the waitlist.

 

MSOL Member Events

Members of the Madison Symphony Orchestra League receive access to special concert previews, lunches with musical performances, and other social events. Learn more about them below or volunteer to help plan an event.

Fellowship, Music, and More

Fall, Winter, and Spring Luncheons bring members together for food and fellowship, and feature MSO musicians or guest artists as performers or speakers. And a special Holiday Party is hosted by the League in December to celebrate the season.

Bridge

Ladies Bridge Marathon, Men’s Bridge and Couples Bridge Marathon groups are popular with bridge-playing League members.

The MSOL Couples Bridge Marathon – This group meets six times during the year between September and late April, ending with a dinner and bridge event at the Madison Club. Please call Marilyn Ebben (608)-833-4683 for more information.

Concert Previews

League members host these timely presentations, one or more each year, featuring a musician or music expert who highlights the concert repertoire.

MSOL Fundraising Events

Symphony at Sunset (formerly known as Concert on the Green)

Symphony at Sunset is a festive cocktail party, concert, and gourmet picnic dinner in the evening. The next event is June 17, 2024.

Symphony Gala

The Symphony Gala celebrates the opening of the Symphony season in September with a formal dinner, drinks, dancing, and live music. At this event, the John DeMain Award for Outstanding Commitment to Music is presented to recognize an individual or individuals for their longstanding and unwavering support of the League, the Madison Symphony Orchestra and music in the community.
