Out at the Symphony is an opportunity to connect with the MSO and members and friends of Madison's LGBTQ community in a fantastic night of great classical music with an exclusive party at one of downtown Madison's hottest venues.
In April 2015, Madison’s own Christopher Taylor returned for a third time in Piano Genius
where he explored two deeply contrasting works, beginning with a Baroque concerto by Bach, heard for the first time at these concerts. From Bach, he shifted to a thoroughly Romantic virtuoso work by Liszt, his Piano Concerto No. 1.
In the second half, the MSO embarked on an inaugural performance of Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No. 7.
After the last bow was taken, guests ascended Madison Museum of Contemporary Art's glass staircase for an exclusive party at Fresco, on the top floor. Overlooking the rooftops of downtown Madison, partygoers enjoyed conviviality, elegant hors d'oeuvres and conversation while sipping cocktails from among Fresco's signature drink specials.
