Out at the Symphony is an opportunity to connect with John DeMain, the MSO and members and friends of Madison's LGBTQ community in a fantastic night of great classical music with an exclusive party at one of downtown Madison's hottest venues.
John DeMain has a special connection with the music of George Gershwin, and in
The Gershwin Legacy he not only returns to the composer's Catfish Row Suite from
Porgy and Bess, he explores the works of those who came after him. We'll hear up-and-coming pianist Garrick Olsen in the
I Got Rhythm Variations. Then Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from
West Side Story set the stage for sizzling songs and selections from Kurt Weill, Marc Blitzstein and Stephen Sondheim.
After the last bow has been taken, you'll ascend MMoCA's glass staircase for an exclusive party at Fresco. Overlooking the rooftops of downtown Madison, you'll enjoy conviviality, elegant hors d'oeuvres and
scintillating conversation as you sip your favorite cocktail from among Fresco's signature drink specials.
We've set aside some of the best seats in the house at very low prices. (
Click here for a seating map.) Tickets in the Orchestra Level are only $55, a seat in the Mezzanine is yours for only $39. If you've already subscribed or bought your own tickets to this concert, you can join us at the after-concert party for only $15!
