THE SPRING YOUNG
PEOPLE'S CONCERT
THUR MAR 17 AT 10 AM IN OVERTURE HALL

"CLASSICAL INSPIRATIONS"
Our 2010 Spring Young People's Concert features Barber's Dance of Vengeance Brahms' Academic Festival Overture and Schuman's Symphony No. 3: three fascinating works from three master composers. We'll explore the intriguing inspirations that led to the composition of these works. And your students will be inspired by their peers as the winners of the 2011 Bolz Young Artist Competition / Final Forte play with the MSO.

A CONCERT FOR MIDDLE
& HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Our Spring Young People's Concert brings middle and high school students into Overture Hall to experience classical music the way it was meant to be heard...live! The students not only get a chance to hear the full symphony orchestra, they're inspired by the playing of their peers, the winners of the Bolz Young Artist Competition, Final Forte. This year's winners were marimba player Greg Riss and violinist Alice Huang.
