"Zukerman again seemed the forever young
virtuoso: expressively resourceful,
infectiously musical, technically
impeccable, effortless. As usual, it was a
joy to be in his musical company."
- The Los Angeles Times

"Forsyth - applying a darkly lush tone -
played the part with a nuturing lyricism
and grace that evoked religious
solemnity and timeless belief."
- The Washington Post

“We have enjoyed a special relationship with superstar violinist Pinchas Zukerman, who returns with his wife, the brilliant cellist Amanda Forsyth. She opens the program with Bruch’s Kol Nidrei: a passionate setting of a Hebrew chant for cello and orchestra. Then Zukerman commands the stage as both soloist and conductor for Mozart’s lively Violin Concerto No. 5, known as the “Turkish” for the exotic melody in the last movement. After intermission, I’ll lead this extraordinary musical couple in a work of great beauty, Saint-Saëns’ The Muse and the Poet. And I’m delighted to welcome our esteemed principal organist Samuel Hutchison for Saint-Saëns’ powerful Symphony No. 3—the Organ Symphony. This work, with its stirring hymn and magnificent fugal ending, will call forth the full power of the Overture Concert Organ and the Madison Symphony Orchestra.” –John DeMain

"We are proud to support the Madison Symphony Orchestra. Its glorious music feeds the mind and soul, and opens all sense to the beautiful world of music by the great masters. This concert features not only the world reknowned soloists but the magnificent Overture Organ in Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3. The concert will be magnificent!" - Nick and Elaine Mischler

"We are happy to support the music we all love to hear on the stage when the Madison Symphony Orchestra plays but we also support the MSO for its work with the youth of Wisconsin. The Young People’s concert series introduces many young people to the concert experience. The Final Forte, an awesome collaboration with WPT and WPR, really showcases the musical talent of young, local artists. We’re proud of all of the ways the Madison Symphony Orchestra touches our lives." - Larry and Julie Midtbo
