Brilliant Canadian Organist Ken Cowan and Violinist Lisa Shihoten make their Overture Hall debut with a virtuosic program of music for organ and violin. Juilliard-trained Violinist Lisa Shihoten made her debut with the Juilliard Orchestra conducted by Kurt Masur at Lincoln Center. She enjoys an active career as a chamber musician, recitalist, and teacher. Join us as this husband and wife team open our 2017–2018 season with a delightful program of astonishing music, including works by Vitali, Berlioz, Whitlock, Saint-Saëns, and Ken Cowan's own transcription of Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto with Lisa Shihoten as soloist!
